Plating Rate Controller PRC-2b Data Sheet |
The PRC-2b is a computer based plating rate controller for automatic frequency adjustment of crystals and crystal oscillators. The system provides precision frequency monitoring and plating rate control. It is typically used in customer designed final plating systems. The PRC-2b is a replacement for Transat’s model PRC, production of which was discontinued in 1989. The model PRC-2b does not provide signals to drive plating shutter but it does allow up to four distinct plating rates to be programmed to create a plating profile. Typically a very fast rate will be selected when the part is far from the desired target frequency. As plating brings the part closer to the target, successively slower plating rates can be selected to accurately bring the device to the desired target frequency (see Main Screen Setup Menu and Plating Rate Control Curve graph below).
