COMPANY BACKGROUND |
Transat was founded in 1970 to provide "Transat"lantic consulting for the design and manufacture of monolithic filters. Transat was incorporated in 1972, and its focus changed to development and manufacture of equipment for the quartz crystal and semiconductor industry. Transat strives to develop innovative products protected by patents, and it has introduced a number of "First" instruments to the commercial market, such as:
- The first commercial phase-locked-loop transmission measurement system for frequencies up to 250 MHz (1973)
- The first "Plating Rate Controller" for fast and accurate plating up to 300 MHz (1974)
- The first instrument for direct thickness measurement of thin wafers during the lapping and polishing process (1978)
- The first stand-alone instrument for automatic transmission measurement of crystal parameters up to 250 MHz (1980)
- The first computer-controlled automatic frequency adjustment system for crystal resonators (1983)
- The first system for independent adjustment of both bandwidth and frequency of monolithic filters based on oscillator measurement (1976) and transmission measurement (1987)
- The first instrument capable of performing both phase-lock and frequency-lock transmission measurements (1995)
- The first instrument to directly monitor and control the crystal etching process (1997)
- The first instrument for high-speed transmission measurements of low-frequency (< 200 KHz) resonators (2000)
- The first instrument for the automatic thickness control of quartz wafers during the contour-lapping process (2000)
- Transat Corp. becomes Sansei Showa Co.,Ltd. (2003)
- Fast Frequency Card revised for PCI (2005)
- PCI Network Analyzer Card (2008) 1-400MHz
- PCI Network Analyzer Card (2010) 10-200kHz, 1-400MHz & 1-800MHz
