The Model PRC/6SA-OSC is a computer based upgrade package designed for high precision, high speed plating of oscillators on the Showa Shinku model SC-6SA Final Plating System. Transat’s Period Counter Card is used to monitor oscillator output during plating. Frequency is relayed to the system’s plating control algorithm which allows continuous plating to target frequency. Parts are plated in 1 pass (rotation). The upgrade makes no substantial change to the mechanical operation of the system. The Filament Post, Plating Wheel, Masking and Shutter are left as originally supplied. The upgrade can not improve plating behavior which relies on the existing mechanical operation of the system. Plating data is continuously updated during operation and can also be printed and/or logged to a computer file. Self explanatory commands allow for easy immediate use of the system. Custom test setup (files) can be created, stored, and easily recalled, simplifying operator use. Installation of the upgrade is quick and easy. Full and detailed documentation is available to guide the user in installing the upgrade. If preferred, arrangements can be made for Transat service personnel to perform the upgrade on-site.
